Majors Division (Ages 10, 11, 12)
Assessment and Draft Process:
- Players must attend a tryout or assessment to evaluate their skill set.
- Teams are formed through a draft conducted by coaches based on these assessments.
- Parent requests for specific player placements are not honored.
Season Structure:
- The season runs from late March until mid-June.
- Players will likely have one weekday practice, one weekday game, and one Saturday game each week.
Competitive Play:
- This division is a more competitive style of baseball with playing time and the opportunity to play different positions are determined by the player's skill set.
- Little League Baseball's official rules apply, including minimum playing time.
- In Majors the kids will play on the same size field as Minors (46/60); the pitching mound is 46 feet to home plate and base distance is 60 feet.
- Catchers throw to second base is 85 feet.
District Tournament Eligibility:
- Players can participate in the post-season Little League Tournament if they have played in at least 8 regular season games (excluding playoffs).
Special Eligibility:
- A combination of 12- and 11-year-olds, as well as some 10-year-olds will be considered for this division based on their skill set and safety
This setup ensures that players are placed in a division that matches their skill level, providing a fun and challenging experience while maintaining fairness through the draft and skill assessment.
