The Boy’s Big League Baseball Team is comprised primarily of players with league ages 16 through 18. We are a team that also consists of players from Berwyn Paoli Area Little League and are known as the “Spartans”. Because of our dual league relationship, the team’s home games are played at Wilson Farm Park, Louis A. D’Ambrosia Memorial Park (LAD) and BPALL's Field of Dreams. The team is managed by DSLL's Anthony Gentile, who has managed at various little league levels for the past 14 years. Since PA District 27 does not have a Big League program, the Spartans play in a newly formed program known as the “Delaware Valley Big League Association”.
Teams from Little League's Pennsylvania Districts 28, 27, 23 and 17, as well as Delaware District 2 compete in both Spring and Fall seasons. This has included several tournaments, which have typically been organized by Kennett and Unionville (KAU) and Caln AA Little Leagues. The season generally starts around early/mid-May and typically ends by August 1st and usually consists of 25 to 30 games per season. In May 2012, the Spartans were the MacQueen Tournament Champion and represented PA District 27 in the Pennsylvania State Big League Tournament at Mansfield University.
